3 diamond units get DTC sight-holder status

After already losing 9 companies as DTC hloder now the diamond polishing units from the city have been declared as Diamond Trading company (DTC) sight holder. from surat Dharmanandan Diamond and Shairu Gems were d eclared Dtc sight holders while Mumbai -based As Exports is among there new indian DTC sight holders in the country.

The there firms are part of five newly appointed sight holdeers internationally adding to surat dominacnce in the diamond industry.

This has directry imroved working conditions for the diamond for the workers. As per the DTC stadars diamond polishing units have to maintain good working environment.

9 units is expected to lose DTC status:

Status of around nine indian diamond polishing unit as DTC sight holder is likely to be revoked sourmed.while talking to tol, an official of DTC from Mumbai informed, "it is likely that that status of DTC sight holder of around nine diamond.

Appointment of Dharmanandan Diamond has sorprised many in the city but Laljibhai explains , The slow down has affected small and midsize polishing units the sitution remains same.

"We have been successful in the business due to accuracy and best production facility. And now with DTC sight our customer base will grow faster, explains Laljibhai."
